We made it year 6! Well done on all of your hard work. As a year group, you have been absolutely amazing - we are so very proud of you all. SATs is now done and dusted and we can turn our attention to our final (yes, final) module of the year. It is an exciting and engaging module that we will be working on This year has certainly flown by, but you know what they say... ‘time flies when you’re having fun’!
Our final Module is all about art. When you think of art, what do you think of? Who do you think of? Does anything or anyone spring to mind? Some of you may be nodding as you read this but if not, now is your chance to get a head start and explore some famous artists and their artwork.
Over the half-term you are going to be working within a small group, making some big decisions. You’re going to be given a pot of money to spend on art work and create a gallery, which art work, you will decide. You’ll even create some art of your own to display in your gallery too! After several weeks of creating, you will get the chance to explore the various galleries around Year 6 and answer our Golden Thread question: How do we respectfully disagree?
This module links closely with our Core Skills of: Communicating effectively.

A few routine reminders:
Learning Journals should be in school everyday as new information about reading books, trips, letters, homework and upcoming events will be added throughout the week.
So we can get our learning off to a quick start, please make sure your PE kit is in school everyday (take a look at our prospectus to double check what you need). Each item should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Please remember to label your child’s uniform, water bottle and PE kit. PE kits will be sent home each week to be washed and returned every Monday.
