Year 3
Welcome to Hall Green Junior School and to Year 3!
We are excited to see you all.
We hope you have had a lovely summer break and are ready and raring to go!
We will be getting to know each other over the next week and making new friends and familiarising ourselves with a new school. Year 3 has two new brand new classrooms which is exciting for us.
We are excited to start a new curriculum. In Science, we will be looking at 'Rocks' and have an exciting trip to Lapworth museum planned. In history, we will be learning all about 'Stone Age'.
Things to remember
To avoid lost items, please make sure all school uniform and PE kits are clearly labelled with your child’s name. PE kits will be sent home every other week to be washed and returned on Monday.
Learning Journals need to be in school everyday and must be signed by an adult every Thursday.
The Year Group staff are:

Class 3.4 - Miss Begum
Miss Hogton and Miss Millar is the teaching assistant working in year 3.
Each child is allocated to a class and has a named class teacher.
As well as this, the classes will also be taught by other staff.
For core subjects (maths and reading) children may have other teachers leading their lessons, as we create different groupings to target their current needs and close any gaps in learning. These groupings still follow the same curriculum.

- We all enjoyed pulling our crackers and tucking into our Christmas lunch.
- Making our robins was a little fiddly but we managed to make some lovely robins.
- We enjoyed making our Christmas craft - robins
- We made two types of potato wedges: crunchy semolina coated ones and paprika spiced ones!
